Spring Gatherings

Snowdrops in the snow at Frenchay Chapel
at Frenchay Unitarian Chapel, Beckspool Road, Frenchay.

In this series of meetings we will explore individual life journeys through sharing thoughts, experiences, doubts and beliefs.

We will be using the materials from the Unitarian manual “Evensong”.

Each week we will follow an order of service with the central event being a sharing time. We will be listening attentively and without interruption to one another.

We will be meeting on Thursdays between 7-9pm at Frenchay Chapel.

5th March: Childhood memory and knowing
19th March: Scripture and Story
26th March:Prayer and Spiritual Practice
9th April: Fear
30th April; Generosity
7th May: Hospitality and the Stranger
21st May: Being Alive
28th May: Beliefs and Actions
[please note: these Thursdays are spaced irregularly]

These meetings will be a good way to explore personal beliefs and possibilities and a great way to get to know a group of people.

We would appreciate a donation towards the cost of using the chapel.

For our first gathering, please bring an object, memento, photograph or drawing that reminds you of a truth you knew as a child that has served you well through life. Try to think of a deep understanding or truth you knew as a child even if your childhood situation was difficult. Was there a strength that as a child you found in yourself?

Please let us know if you are planning to come, and contact us if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Art

Here are two of the collaborative artworks we produced as part of the "Art Games collaborative creativity" workshop facilitated by Rev John Harley.

Each of the images below was a joint effort by four people.  The workshop was lots of fun, and everyone discovered a new way of being creative.
